Shaun
Age: 39
Rank: Brown Belt
I have participated in various forms of martial arts for most of my life. I began training Taekwondo with my neighbour when I was 7. Later I began training Zen Do Kai Freestyle which I continued to do for approximately five years. During this time I achieved the rank of brown belt. At around 14 I started doing the Muay Thai classes more often and attending Zen Do Kai less. By 18 I had participated in 5 Muay Thai fights and achieved the rank of brown singlet in BJC Muay Thai. At 19 I was in a car accident that required a lot of rehab. Unfortunately I did not return to training after the accident.
At 28 years old and 81kg I decided that I wanted to get back into martial arts again. I also decided that I would not return to Muay Thai, I wanted to try something different. I began training BJJ and after approximately 2 1/2 years I received my blue belt. I have now, well and truly been bitten by the BJJ bug.
