Talitha fought well in her first competition appearance. Some junior categories were combined and she faced her fellow Arruda team mate Ryan. Talitha pulled guard early and attack with a lapel choke gaining an advantage. Ryan managed to pass her guard and eventually mount scoring 7 points.

Talitha was able to reverse the position and defend against Ryan’s arm bar attempt but was not able to score any points before the time expired. Tori and I are extremely proud of the determination shown by Talitha in her first competition and her willingness to continue the fight even when she was in an unfavourable position.
