On the 14th of December 2013 Synergy Fight Shop Hosted a Charity event to donate money to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
Talitha Competed in the Over 49kg mixed division. I was unable to complete still due to my broken big toe.

Talitha had the rare opportunity to compete against another girl of her own weight and age in this competition which was a great experience for her.
There were no medals awarded for places in this tournament as all proceeds of the event were going to charity.

Talitha won her first round match by submission after tallying up a score of 22-0.
In the second and final round she competed against team mate Ryan Zadeh, a much more experienced and heavier competitor.
Ryan scored 2 points early in the match with a takedown and they were the only points scored for the match.
Talitha tried to sweep for the whole match but Ryan was able to defend every attempt she made.

It was a great experience for Talitha to compete in this event with another girl her age.
